Existence of a nonequilibrium steady state for the nonlinear BGK equation on an interval

چکیده

We show existence of a non-equilibrium steady state for the one-dimensional, non-linear BGK model on an interval with diffusive boundary conditions. These conditions represent coupling system two heat reservoirs at different temperatures. Our analysis is not perturbative around equilibrium. employ fixed point argument to reduce study collisional interactions linear BGK.

This paper contains rigorous results for a simple stochastic model of heat conduction similar to the KMP (Knipnis–Marchiori–Presutti) model but with possibly energydependent interaction rates.
